The pure essence of Macabeo, ALKUNYA is Viña Memorias’ expression of delicate freshness and salinity.
Crafted from 100% old Macabeo under strict rainfed cultivation, this wine is aged for 6 months in "Tinajas" (amphora) followed by an additional 6 months in bottle before release. ALKUNYA is round and full-bodied, with notes of stone, tile, cantaloupe, and apricot. It presents a pure, bone-dry palate with good acidity that coasts along with the fruit, capturing a lively, elegant balance. ALKUNYA offers a delicate counterpoint to the bold reds in the collection, showcasing Viña Memorias’ versatility.
ALKUNYA (Ladino): means "family name," reflects heritage and identity within one’s lineage.
